    Planning the second E36

Marc Freire of Adam Bomb Racing built the current race car. We plan to build a second E36 as the next chapter.

    What happened

The current E36 is a new build by Marc Freire of Adam Bomb Racing — it has never been competitively raced.

Before delivery, Marc put the car on track for shakedown sessions to work the bugs out of a fresh build.

Learning this car and its preparation comes first.

The longer-term plan is to build a second E36 and document that process honestly from the beginning.

    What I learned

    • —A new build is not a finished race car until the shakedown sessions say so — fresh cars need track time to reveal their issues.
    • —Driving a prepared race car and building one are two different kinds of education.
    • —The current car gives me a reference point for what the future build needs to become.

    The car

The current BMW E36 is a brand-new build by Marc Freire of Adam Bomb Racing. It has not been competitively raced yet, but it saw track time in shakedown sessions to sort out the bugs before delivery. A second E36 is planned as a future Wheel House build.

    The people

Marc built the current car, shook it down on track before handing it over, and continues to help me understand the preparation behind it.

    Next improvement

Keep learning the current car, define the second-car plan, and document the build when it begins.
